Purchasing workflows for Business Central, designed with you first

Who must see a purchase order before it goes to the supplier? Tell us how your buyers and managers work today. AppoGen designs the flow with you before anything is built.

The problem

Large purchase orders reach suppliers without the right manager having seen them. Approval limits are in a policy document, not in the system. Buyers chase approvers by email, and finance sees the cost late.

How an extension helps

An extension can add rules around purchase orders without changing the standard product. It can set approval levels by amount and department. It can send each order to the right person, remind them if it waits, and stop the order going out until it is approved. It can also add a field, a check or a report that your buyers need.

How AppoGen handles the request

  1. Describe the flow in plain words: who buys, who approves, and what limits apply.

  2. We write it down as a requirements document and ask about anything unclear, such as what happens when an approver is away. You approve the document.

  3. We check standard Business Central first for what it already does with purchase approvals.

  4. You review the storyboard, with today's steps next to the new steps. Comment on any scene. Nothing is built until you approve one.

  5. Quote. The price follows the size of the approved design, in plain words. You pay nothing for the build until you accept.

  6. Build, test, review. Tested against your acceptance criteria and reviewed by a separate AI reviewer that did not write it.

  7. Install in your sandbox first, and in production once you accept.

What you receive

A requirements document, a functional document with maps of the flow, a training manual for buyers and approvers, and the installed extension.

An example

Suppose purchase orders above set amounts need a department manager's approval. The design would hold the order, send it to the right approver, remind them, and release it to the supplier only once approved. A finance report would list what is waiting. The job is of standard size. This is an illustration, not a delivered app.

Questions

Can limits differ by department?

The design can describe that. You approve the exact levels before the build.

What about orders already approved elsewhere?

Tell us in the request. We ask about anything unclear.

Can it link to another system?

An extension can add a link to another system, and that makes a job larger.

Do my buyers need training?

The extension comes with an HTML5 training manual for the daily tasks.

What if I only need a small tweak?

A small request can be a simple job. A later change is priced only on what changes.

How is it paid for?

50 % to start the build and 50 % before installation.
