For functional consultants
Bring the requirement. Show the design first.
We help you write the need down, check standard Business Central first, and give your client a storyboard to approve before anything is built.
A familiar moment
- What do you do when a client's need calls for an extension?
- Is the requirement written down clearly enough for the client to correct and approve it?
- Has the client seen what the change looks like before it is built?
How it works for a consultant
- 01
Bring the requirement
Describe it in the wizard, or talk it through with the requirements assistant, which proposes a solution in plain steps first and asks only what it must.
- 02
A written requirements document
We ask about anything unclear and write the need down. The requirement is read, corrected and approved.
- 03
Standard first
We research how standard Business Central handles it. The fit assessment names what is already supported and what genuinely needs extending.
- 04
Storyboard review
Illustrated scenes with an illustrative screen preview. Any scene can be commented on. Each round gives a new version. Nothing is built until a version is approved.
- 05
Quote, build, test
The price comes from the size of the approved design. After acceptance we build to written standards, test against the acceptance criteria in the approved design, and a separate AI reviewer that did not write it checks the work.
- 06
Sandbox first
Installed in the client's sandbox, then in production once accepted.
What you and your client receive
- A requirements document the client can correct and approve.
- A standard-fit assessment: what is already supported and what needs extending.
- A storyboard, then a functional document in plain language, step by step.
- An HTML5 training manual with screen previews.
- Business Dynamics Pro keeps the intellectual property. The client receives a licence to use the extension in the environments it names. Source code can be bought for an app after delivery.
What you do and what we do
| You | We |
|---|---|
| Bring the requirement and the knowledge of the client. | Ask what is unclear and write the requirement down. |
| Help the client comment on the storyboard and approve one version. | Show illustrated scenes and keep a version per round. |
| Keep the client relationship and advice. | Add extension-delivery capacity: build, test, separate AI review. |
| Have the client's administrator do the one-time set-up. | Install in the sandbox first, production after acceptance. |
Partners
- You can create an account and start a request yourself.
- If you are a Business Central partner, the partner program has four tiers: Referral, Reseller, Premier and Elite. You keep the customer relationship. Partners can earn a commission on customers they introduce, receive discounts on build and change prices at the higher tiers, and register a prospect with deal registration. Program terms apply.
- See the partner page for the details in words, and to start a partner conversation.
Objections and answers
Will this replace me?
We make no such claim. You keep the client relationship and the functional understanding. AppoGen adds extension-delivery capacity.
How does my client approve a requirement?
The client reads, corrects and approves the requirement and the storyboard before anything is built.
Questions
What do I need to bring?
The business need, in plain words. No AL coding is needed from your team.
Does standard Business Central get checked first?
Yes, as designed: we research how standard Business Central handles the need before building something custom.
What does the client approve?
The requirements document and one version of the storyboard. The storyboard is an illustration, not Business Central screens.
Who is responsible after installation?
For 30 days after installation we fix anything that does not match the approved design. Our total responsibility never exceeds what was paid for that extension.
What does it cost?
The build price comes from the size of the approved design. Simple extensions usually cost USD 2,000 to 5,000, standard ones USD 5,000 to 12,000 and advanced ones USD 12,000 to 20,000. Above USD 20,000 we prepare a custom quote. The subscription is separate, from USD 49 a month.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the extension and how many review rounds are needed. We give no turnaround time.
Have a requirement in mind?
Bring the need. We write it down and show the design first.
